3 month old Magnum 350 rattles
My 3 month old Magnum 350 rattles. It sounds like there are marbles rolling around in it. I cleaned the filter and the problem persists. Does the little impeller thing need to be replaced? 3 months seems like an aweful short period for that to wear out...
Anyone have other ideas?
Check th canister. Look for air bubbles. I recall having a problem similar years back and the problem was solved when all of the air was removed from the canister. All I did was to turn the filter upside down until the air bubble disappeared. But, I must say, a worn impeller is not out of the question.
Check your gaskets too. Mine does the same thing, and I think its the missing and flaccid gaskets that's causing it.
Cancel that, you said Months, not years, Shouldn't be gaskets.
HF is right on the money (as usual  )
