Just curious if any of you have come across some very good books reguarding anything planted tank. from forms of dosing, high light setups, low light setups/.plat care just anything that you have found and learned a great deal from. I would like to start picking up some books and need suggestions.
I like http://www.amazon.com/Encyclopedia-Aquarium-Plants-Peter-Hiscock/dp/0764155210, and recommend that anyone who keeps a planted tank (esp. non co2) read http://www.amazon.com/Ecology-Planted-Aquarium-Diana-Walstad/dp/0967377366/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1365335509&sr=1-1&keywords=ecology+of+the+planted+aquarium
I've collected a few others, but those two are the best I've got so far. Subbing for more reccos!
I seconod Chesherca's two books. The Hiscock is very good as a general reference; there is a lot of basic water chemistry as well as plant-related material. The Walstad gets quite technical and aside from the microbiological issues promotes soil substrates so it is not as comprehensive with respect to running a basic planted tank.
thanks for the reccs, wanna make a shopping list gunna wait a while and see what all comes through
