Which is the best fish for my pond?

Hello!
I have got a pond circular and 500 ft from one side to another and live in the UK. Which is the best fish(es) for me? I am ready to spend lots of money. A freshwater fish.

If its a big, clear pond, that can be filtered properly and you can sre the bottom, koi and goldfish might be a good choice. but if it's anything like my grandparents ponds, which are kind of muddy and you can't see anything, fish might be kind of pointless. my grandparents did put baby trout in one of theirs, but yiu can't see them.

Koi would be my first pick. In a pond that size you will get some massive koi. You can either buy them as such or grow them out. Check out local pond stores to find some breeders who might give you good prices on a volume of koi. Also check search engines for koi importers in your area if you want more expensive fish. I'm only familiar with importers on my side of the pond (so to speak lol).

Sturgeon are another interesting fish for large ponds, but you have to be careful with water temperature and water quality with these guys. They do not handle warm water very well.

Another alternative is to turn it into a fishing pond. Stock it with gamefish and throw a line in when you want to.
