It is a costom made vase.it is about 4.5gallons,is heated.he just darts to the bottom,then floats back up to the top

it means he is bloated and cant pass poop. you need to stop feeding him his regular food and get a pea fresh frozen canned it doesnt matter put in a little water microwave for a 15 seconds tehn unshell the pea and place on half in the tank hopefully he eats it. If he does then he will soon go back to normal

but dont overdo it with the pea ( feed him the same amount that you would normally. It could be bloat due to overfeeding so simply feed him less whn hes back to normal. Also bloat is caused by a poor diet. Simply make his diet more varied; pellets one day, flakes the other, Friday is treat along with pea, sunday is no food.

While it does sound like bloat, in order to properly diagnose this we're going to need some more information (c'mon guys, you're getting ahead of yourselves!). Could you read this link and give us the information it asks for?
