Can a male crowntail betta breed with a regular female betta
hi,i was just wondering if a male crowntail betta can breed with a regular female betta.I just got a male crowntail betta, but i kinda took it home on a bike, there was a lot of bumps.Hes fine now but they keep flaring at each other,so what do i do?
To answer your question, yes. Crowntail is a variety of Betta splendens, so this "regular" betta and the CT should breed.
But, do not breed bettas untill you know what you are doing. It takes a lot of research, time, and space. You can and will be be stuck with 150+ babies, and be cnstantly feeding them live food, then frozen, then pellet/flake. After they can be sexed, you need a whole seperate tank for females (like 50G+ if you want to keep the females) and individual containers for each male. And what would you do with them all? You cant just drop them off at the pet store.
