HillStream Loaches

I ordered 2 hillstream loaches and they both are not moving. And they showed up in blue water.

Where did you order them from?
Are they confirmed dead, or still alive, just not moving?
Did they arrive not moving?
Did any of this blue water get into your tank?

What kind of tank did you add them too? (Size, occupants, filtration...)

What are you water parameters (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, temp, pH)?

Do you have pics of the fish and your setup where they are in? Could you please tell me your filtration capacity, size of tank, tankmates, temperature and if powerful currents are available? Blue water is methylene blue and is not advisable for use with loaches.

The loaches were not moving when I received them. There hearts were not beating and fins badly damaged. I did not put them into the tank and the blue water is what they shipped them in. I think it was a error the blue water any way.

There is a chance they actually are already dead or dying yet they can still stick to the glass firmly.

ShawnMcc 04-24-2008 08:37 PM

Nope they donít even stick to the plastic bag. So defiantly dead then.

that would be animal cruelty !!! I hate hearing stuff like this. Where ever you got them from should reconsider their profession..
