is this a good deal
I found a 55 gallon aquarium with stand, gravel, undergravel filter, for 50 bucks, i think that is an excellent deal, would you all buy it, or would i be taking a chance? I dont know why someone would sell one that cheap

I say go for it. I got my full 55 gallon setup for $50, and everything was in perfect working order. I can't say much for the guy's taste in gravel and decorations, but otherwise I got an excellent deal. :P Some people lose interest, or they have to move and can't take such a big tank, and just need to get rid of it. The guy whom I got my 55 from just didn't have time to keep up with it, and it eventually became more of his little brother's. In that instance the mom was the one doing maintenance, so they were happy to see it go.

Well, saying I got my 30G for $90, then you would know. Lol

I would definatley do it. All you would need are lights (easy for a non-planted tank if you go that route), decor, and possibly an extra HOB filter.

Hell, as long as the tank itself doesn't have chips or leaks it's a good deal! You could hook the undergravel up to reverse flow powerheads and add a HOB and have wicked cool filtration. Go for it!

Go for it man!
