Sick Betta Water Changes

My Betta of 5 months is sick. I returned from a short vacation (five days) and he is listless and not eating. (My husband fed him while I was away.) The tank is a clean, 2.5 gallon, with a betta plant. Since moving into the tank, he's been super happy.

I suspect a bit of fin rot, I'm treating him with Maracyn-Two, Stress Coat and aquarium salt. Yesterday I did a 50% water change. My question is: How frequently should I change his water while he's not well?

Thanks!

Allowing for proper dosing of medicine, i would continue your normal water change routine. In a 2.5 gallon, changing 1 gallon every other day would be a great routine, assuming you do not have a filter.
