how many gallons does my tank have

width 14 inches long 4 foot hieght 17 inches how many gallons does my tank hold?

Amphitrite 04-19-2008 03:56 AM

By my calculations that would be approximately 49 US Gallons.

Yes, that would be 49.5 gallons. A formula you could use to calculate gallon capacity of a square or rectangular container would be to multiply length by width by height (in inches) and divide the resulting number by 231 (strangely enough).
