my lfs told me to put in this prime bottle because i used tap water is this correct? and i was told to put this cycle bottle in to. was this a good thing to do or bad
I've never used Prime but from what I read, it's the same as Cycle. I'm sure someone will double check me on that but if I'm not mistaken, they will both remove chlorine from the water so it's safe for the fish. Are you setting us a new tank?
Prime is a tap water conditioner to get rid of chorine etc. Cycle is supposed to contain bacteria to speed up the cycling of your tank but is a waste of money. Bio-Spira is really the only product that people have claimed to have success with cycling their tank faster.
yes im setting up a new tank. so is it bad that i use both things. could i still use this water or should i empty the tank and mix new saltwater with drinking water from the grocery store?
Ooh...I just noticed this is in the saltwater forum. Shouldn't be any harm done but maybe some salties could chime in as I am into freshwater. lol
i used both. prime tap water add salt. they i got the cycle and used it once water was in the tank with my LR and LS. but now wen i do water changes i do it in 5 gal with RO water from the LFS
bndrinking and your not having any problems? did you follow the directions the cycle bottle told you to do like the everyweek thing?
i used the cycle bottle ones should i keep using it like it says or should i stop?
