Veggin out

Hi everyone. I have two questions today. I have a concern with my kuhli loaches. They only come out at night time. I feed my fish a few times a day, and they eat it all. Right before I turn the light out I feed them again, whether its flake food or something frozen, and I break up about 2 algae wafers to put along the ground. In the morning its all gone, ad I've caught a kuhli or 2 eating it. But what else can I feed them so that this doesnt get old to them. They wont come out during the day to eat, and I have tried shrimp pellets, an surprisingly NO ONE eats them. And second, I just saw one of my mollies bounce off a cave bout 4 times? Whats that about? Is he ok, he looked like he was having fun doing it, I got a laugh out of it. But I just wanna make sure this is normal cause I have never witnessed it before. Also I want to thnak everyone for there help. You guys have no idea how much u have taught me. I have read countless threads, and done my own research. I have surprised a few people with how much I know know now about fish. Today I went to a new Petsmart to get a few snails. There was a guy buying s molly, and of course she was preg. The guy was so excited and was asking the employer this and that, but the guy could only come up with a few of the answers. When I answered the rest for him (thanks to u all) he gave me to coldest look, like he was so embarrassed,....hmmm. made me feel better at least! Haha

Sinking shrimp pellets, believe me, the loaches will eat them.

The bouncing off of objects is called "flashing". Many hobbiests think that the fish is ridding itself of parasites. I think that it is normal behavior. Kind of like having your back scratched.

I tried the shrimp pellets and no one seems interested, hmmm, maybe i'll switch brands and see if that helps.

I like two brands of pellets, San Francisco Bay Brand and HBH Super Soft which is actually not shrimp but krill.

How many kuhlis do you have? They'll feel a lot more comfortable and come out more often in larger groups.

The shrimp pellets I use are by Wardley's and my fish love 'em. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries for fish to figure out that the new stuff is food, but they probably will.

I have 5 of them in there, well I bought 5, but I only see 2 out at the same time if I'm really really lucky. And its getter harder to tell whoes who. I just bought some Wardley brand, so I'll see how that goes.
