Does anyone have Tiger Barbs together with cherry barbs?
I understand that they may not get along to well?
Hi Busgod, I've never kept the two together but have read that keeping the two can lead to major problems with aggression from the tiger barbs.
Personally, I wouldn't attempt it.
What do you currently have in the tank, and what size is it?
A 4-footer tank with tiger barbs and loaches is far more entertaining than the tigers and cherries together.:wink2:
I can see a tank with a very dark substrate ( black) , tiger barbs and clown loaches. That to me would be very eye catching.
thanks everyone I was sure that it would't be a great idea so I did a rethink and now am well stocked
10 harlequin rasboras
10 cherry barbs
5 zebra loches
3 dwarf guarami
2 pearl guarami
1 bristle nose pleco (L-144a)
1 emperor pleco (L-204
I think I've reached my tanks limits :omg:
emperor pleco????? This must be a huge tank, those things are eating and pooping machines.
kjb an emperor is a dwarf pleco gets about 6 inches.
oops you are totally right I always confuse the emperor with the royal pleco. NOw those do get huge. Sorry for the mix up.
kjb Its kewl love the looks of the royal to wish i had a 300 gal tank
