Who`s eating my guppies?
I have recently just in the last 2 days lost 5 guppies 3 males 2 females. Just vanished; Poof. My question is who is responsible, I dont think clown loaches will eat other fish.Perhaps my silvertip shark Catfish, He seems to be getting bigger; Also my giant danios seem fatter. My Bala shark is very docile I really dont think its him + i dont think his mouth is even close to big enough. Who`s Eating My Guppies?
What size is this tank? Balas grow to 14 inches and should not be kept in a tank less than 125g in size. As far as the Columbians are concerned, these are brackish water species. Yes, they are your suspects.
I wouldn't take anything out of that tank without 100% proof. Spend as much time as you can just watching
watching and more watching. When you're not around, set up a video cam. If necessary, purchase more guppies
to entice the killer. I've heard too many stories of peeps who remove the suspect fish only to have more
deaths on their hands. Good luck!
As far as the giant danios are concerned, they may get nippy but I doubt they will try to eat guppies.
