Does Brown Algae cycle out?

I had BGA before when I had my lights turned on for 12 hours, reduced it to 10, and it seems to have stopped, but had brown algae.
So, I was just curious if brown algae cycles out just like green algae. Anyways, it's not that bad. I'm just curious.

Brown algae has nothing to do with cycling. It happens mostly in new tank setups or when your tank has insufficient lighting.

leave lights off for a few days it will die off.
