Tiger Barb & happy tank mates

We are presently in the exploratory stage [books, forums, LFS visitations]. We are looking to assemble several community tanks [over time] that provide a safe and happy environment for all of the occupants to enjoy.

We have identified our three favorite fish that we want to collect [Angels, Discus, Silver Dollar], and create a tank for each of these favorites. We would like to include a few other fish in each tank that would be compatible. I have generated a list of potential tank mates to share space with the Angels, with the Discus, and with the Silver Dollars.

We would like very much for any and all of you to share your suggestions as to which fish would work together. experiences with these fish. Our fourth tank would be a community tank, and suggestions for this tank would also be welcomed.

What are the sizes of each tank?

Not yet purchased. We plan to go big [100 gallons +/- 10], but overall cost per tank will limit us to one purchase per year.

We plan to start with the Community tank before we move onto the dedicated tanks for the larger fish we have chosen.
