New baby

this morning i looked into my tank (as we all do every morning lol) and saw a little black thing, as i looked closer i saw a little swordtail fry :D ( i know its swordtail as my platies have all given birth and their babies wouldnt be this dark at all, and my one female platy was looking pregnant). i was amazed as the fry was black and orange and very strong colours, with my last swordtail fry i could only see there colours after a few months. is this right having the colours so early as the mother, and the possible father (its been more than a month since ive had her, more like 4, so it could be the black and orange male in my tank which has been pestering her) are black and orange? sorry for the long post

It could have even been a father from the tank you purchased her from! Livebearers are amazing in so many ways. It would be really hard to guess who the daddy is since they can have several batches, over several months, from one "encounter".
