Pregnant oto?
 
I just got home from a trip today and while doing a head count I noticed one of my otos is very large around the middle. This worries me because one of my otos in the past looked like this right before dying. But I have heard that while hard to encourage to breed, otos will randomly reproduce on their own. Is this one pregnant? Or is there something wrong? I'm very worried, as I love all of my quirky little otos, and I don't want to lose any.

I'm not sure it means anything. I have one that has almost exactly that shape belly but has had it for months. I always just thought well fed but I'm no oto expert.

Well, whatever the case, the oto seems to be slimming down to a more normal size. It makes me feel better, because as soon as I saw how round it looked I was immediately reminded of the one that died with that bloated looking tummy.
