Frill in my betta tank
My betta has a 10 gallon and I am going away for spring break and I bought him some 'frill' as the pet store calls it. I was wondering how to make them grow I put them in the bottom of the tank so they won't get sucked up by the filter. Also what is co2? And what is ferts?
You shouldn't need to worry about that stuff in a tank your size...unless your planning on having like 10 plants in your 10 gallon...I can see it now, little green tendrils crawling out of your tank :D As for making it grow, it will pick up the nutrients from your tank...you can use root tabs if you want but see how it does without first. Did you get this from Petsmart?
CO2 = Carbon Dioxide. Good for heavy plant growth, but not needed in tanks with a few live plants. It sure does help though.
Ferts = Fertilizers. There are Iron, Potassium, and a few other things that help the plants photosynthis process and gaining nutrients.
yeah I did get it from Petsmart
These plants are actually for him to eat on spring break while I am gone.
