question abot my new North Queensland yabby
hello all i just got a North Queensland yabby (Cherax quadricarinatus) i had been reading up on them and came across this forum. anyways everything iv read abot them says there aggressive and should not be with other fish but mine is missing its claws so will it still be a threat to my other fish. thanx for any help
The claws will eventually grow back, my dad got a crayfish with no claws and figured the fish would be fine. About a month later it had it's claws back ans was killing all the fish.
well that kinda sux i guess i have to stay away from getting any more bottom fish. thanx Dtld9
do you know if maby giving it more things to hide in would make it a little less of a terror, or sins i have goby and he eats Minnows maby they can be a bit of a distraction for the little guy
Which is not really true. If your tank is big enough and your fish is big enough, they will not harm each other. I have a 7inch pleco with a 6 inch crayfish. They dont kill each other when in close proximity or bump into each other...but it's a 3ft aquarium...chances are they dont see each other much.
