banana plant ???
i decided to try a banana plant. the leaves & roots have died off. still have all the bananas just floating around. will it grow new roots & leaves ? i have had it about 3 weeks now. should i try an anchor to hold it down? or just get a new one?
just a bit of clarification here, your banana plant (Nymphoides aquatica) will propigate from the leafs and is meant to be a rooted plant not to be let floating. when you plant make sure to not bury the "bananas" or the (rhizomes) too deep into the substrate. the plant will let you know when its not happy which is what its doing to you now since its floating. i would plant it and nurse it back to health they tend to be a easyier plant to keep and adapt well to water conditions. hope this helps and exp[lains why you may be seeing the poor condition
i will try to plant it & give it more time. thanks
