I finally managed to get my new 92 gallon up and running (though still in the process of building the hood/lighting). I seeded both the filtration and gravel with media from my other tank as well as moving pieces of driftwood and plants. I moved the two danios into the tank from my other tank and got 6 more from the lfs yesterday so I hopefully will get the tank cycled fairly quickly. Once the tank is fully cycled, I will be moving all the fish from my other tank into this one The lfs suggested moving 8-10 fish at a time and waiting at least 2 weeks between each group for the tank to acclimate. Is that a good amount of time to wait? Would it be better to move them in smaller groups and more or less frequently?
I will be moving:
3 harlequin rasbora
3 gold barbs
5 skirt tetra
4 neon tetra
1 african dwarf frog
Is there a good order to move them in (which groups together)?
Hmmm, I'd think smaller groups and more frequently, like one group a week. With a 92 gallon it seems like it would make a great deal less impact on the bio-load.
