filter flow rate and floating plants advice
I've just added 10 Amazon frogbit plants to my 20 gallon and they were getting dragged all over the surface with the filters' flow, so I've turned the filter down and now they're pretty much still, but now there isn't much/practically no movement on the surface of the water. It's it going to be ok to leave it like this, will the fish get enough oxygen? I don't have an air stone or bubbler; there is a bubble tube on the filter but when it's on the water fills with thousands of tiny bubbles which do not go away, so I leave it off.
..just thought I'd add a pic, other than the water movement issue I'm liking this plant :)
In my experience too much water movement will kill them. that's all I got ;-)
yeah should be fine. You don't need surface movement.
Thanks both of you, that's good then it looked silly with them being swirled around :)
