Planting corkscrew val

What is the right way to plant corkscrew val? I picked up a nice batch off Aquabid and I don't want to screw it up by planting it wrong.

Pretty easy, just protect the roots while digging a hole in the substrate then bury the roots. Depending on how developed the roots are you might just be able to gently pinch them and just lead the way with your fingers. If the root system is more developed you might have to make a cone shape with your hand.

Don't plant them too deep, just deep enough for the roots to be covered. The stem part can rot if it is buried too far.

Jeff.

Thank you!

I was just thinking that you shouldn't bury the crown (base of new leaves) - just the roots, so the val doesn't have any problem putting up new leaves.

Ditto for the planting method. I, personally, never had good luck with vals until I switched to sand.
