URGENT! my betta is lying on the tank floor, looking white around the mouth!
my normaly bright red batt a is looking paler than usual and is lying on the bottom of the taank doing nothing. sometimes he just gets up and swims in a really fast circle around the tank. around his gills is white and so is his mouth. he is pretty old. please help!
I'm sorry to hear you are having troubles with your Betta. How old is he? Have you had him all that time?
You haven't said anything about your tank size or routine. Anything changed? We also have a diagnosis form if you want to go further with us. It is a sticky at the beginning of the Disease section. just copy and paste it in here.
When was your last waterchange? Anything different this time?
thanks for your help, but he just died : (
Awww I'm sorry! Very often when symptoms are seen if is too late. If you wish to pursue it further, to understand what happened let us know.
How long did you enjoy the pleasure of caring for him?
no, it was probably just old age, so if he had a disease i wont look too far into it. he was mature when i bought (more like rescued, in my opinion) him from petsmart, and i have had him for over four years, and the life expectancy is only 2-3. he lived in a 5 gallon tank, and has bounced around a few different houses. i will miss him very much. thanks for all of your help!
