Mystery snail egg time frame

Do they always lay eggs after mating and if so, how long before they lay them? Days, weeks, months?

My apple snail eggs took about 2 weeks to hatch,so I'd say +-3weeks.

Thank you for the reply, but hatch time is not my question. I would like to know if after they mate will the female always lay eggs? Also, after they mate, how long does it usually take for the female to lay them? Mine mated 2 days ago and ive vigilantly been looking for eggs above the water line but she hasnt laid yet.

This is mating right?

Hard to tell if that is mating you will see one on top of the other getting what seems like a piggy back! sometimes you will see the penis of the male also my snails mated and mated with no eggs and yet three nights ago eggs... Bizarre!
I plan to keep a close eye on who mates next that I see and when they lay a clutch, hopefully they will.
I will post for you if I get any info from watching :)

O I think it takes a week or so not 100% sure.

They may mate and not lay eggs for 6 months. Depends on the snail. A good indicator of laying eggs will be a female going up to the surface or even scooting about above the water line.

A few days before I found my first clutch I opened the lid of the tank to have my golden lady fall off. Be warned, when they start laying.... you can be overrun with clutches. I had a new one every other day.

Hard working ladies.
