salt verification you can use regular table salt right? i think lupin said u could but im not sure anymore and im running out of salt lol most salts are iodized, and aquarium salt advertises ionized. does that make a difference? |
No. Table salt is not for fish. |
I do not have any issues with using table salt which I've used on ich cases. What is the concern there, Bob? |
If you go to a specialty food store you can easily get sea salt which is not iodized. It also depends on the area- I know that England doesn't used iodized salt for the most part, although the US does. So that might account for the differing reports on whether or not table salt is appropriate for aquariums. |
I've used table salt when applying the "West Texas Style' ich treatment with no problems. |
Some table salt is contains iodine. Not good for "fishies". |
