what filter should i use for a 100 gallon tank?

DragonFyre14 03-02-2013 03:03 PM

I can't say what brand would be best nor what style would be best. You could get a biowheel filter (I have no experience with these) or you could get a HOB filter which are fairly common. I would suggest getting two filters rated each rated for about a 50 gallon tank (if you can't find one for a 50 gallon, it's always better to get one rated for a slightly bigger tank rather than a smaller one)
the reason its good to get the two filters is it helps spread out the power of the filter. Sorry I can't be much more help than that

there might be a local place near you, otherwise it looks like White Brook Tilapia Farm - Live Tilapia For Sale is a good place to start
