It might not have foubnd a suitable shell to replace the old one. Are the ones lying aorund larger than it's old one?

If it was me, I wuld make sure to move a shell close to it so it knows they are empty and can try it on for size. If it doesn't like it then I would offer different sizes for it until it stays inside one.

is there a chance that a hermit crab would kill a fish ? specially wrasses ? i have 2 wrasses don't know what type of wrasse they are but they are orange and have white spots like clown fish. they burrow themselves on the sand during sunsets. is there a chance that if i put in some hermit crabs on my tank, they will attack those wrasses during sleeping time ?
