Question about filtration for shrimp tank
I have a question about filtration for shrimp. I've been looking at some smaller kits to start a shrimp tank, and one that I've looked at is the Aqueon Evolve 8. It looks like the filter intake is near the top of the water level with no intake at a lower part of the aquarium. Is this kind of filtration sufficient or would it be better to have some kind of sponge intake in a lower area of the tank? Would that type of filtration leave a lot of debris in the lower levels?
I think for shrimp it is better to do the sponge filters. I know that's what I use in both my 60 and 20 gallon tanks with shrimp.
