Can I trim my amazon sword roots?...
 

Or does this do damage to them. I'm getting some new plants in a few days and want to do some rearranging. I want to move my sword to another location in tank and I'm sure the roots will be pretty extensive. Would just like to trim the roots to be able to replant it easier.

I have once or twice. I was told that its better to trim then to just try and stuff them into the soil or gravel or whatever your using

Trimming when moving is fine. I'm afraid I am quite reckless, I just use my fingers and gently pull at the roots a few at a time to remove the non-white (= dead) roots, and break a few of the white in the process.
