angel fish has no color i have an angel fish in a 15 gallon tall tank with a large drift wood and live plant. i've had it for about 2 years now and it never has good color unless i feed it. im not sure if it's the water or the fish. there is no nitrites in the water. i dont think the nitrates are high. i've done water changes recently hoping to lower the nitrate level. any help with this is much appreciated. |
Your nitrates are high? Do you have a testing kit? Post your results so we can help you better. It could be the water... Are his eyes clouded too? Quote:
Post your water parameters and then we can get a better idea of whats going on. |
In adittion to what Little-Fizz said, 15g is much too small for an angel. is there a possibility that you can upgrade to perhaps 55g? Or return it to the lfs? What other fish do you have in the tank? |
youve had an angelfish in a 15g for 2 years? and it isnt dead? |

MT, could you please post a photo of your angelfish? There are plenty of strains available. By the time one reaches 2 years, body diameter should be 4 inches and more. What exactly are the water parameters? |
