angel fish has no color
 

i have an angel fish in a 15 gallon tall tank with a large drift wood and live plant. i've had it for about 2 years now and it never has good color unless i feed it. im not sure if it's the water or the fish. there is no nitrites in the water. i dont think the nitrates are high. i've done water changes recently hoping to lower the nitrate level. any help with this is much appreciated.

Your nitrates are high? Do you have a testing kit? Post your results so we can help you better. It could be the water... Are his eyes clouded too?

Ummm what? This confuses me? Unless you feed it... Colour enhancing food? Or just feed it in general. If your not feeding your fish then thats the problem right there.

Post your water parameters and then we can get a better idea of whats going on.

In adittion to what Little-Fizz said, 15g is much too small for an angel. is there a possibility that you can upgrade to perhaps 55g? Or return it to the lfs?

What other fish do you have in the tank?

youve had an angelfish in a 15g for 2 years? and it isnt dead?

I agree. 15g is too small for an angelfish. But it can be fine in a 29g tank.
