Bichir with a knifefish?
 

Recently my friends friend decided to get rid of his small clown knife fish so after he gave it to my friend, my friend couldnt hold it because it was in a tank with a couple of very large dominant blood parrots, so now i have it! anyways eventually i want to setup a large predator tank, but for now hes only 4 inches, so i was wondering if i could house him and a small (3-4 inch) senegal bichir in a 30 gallon momentarily. also hes a little reluctant to eat so if anyone has tips on food they usually go for pretty well id appreciate it.

mine would eat anything from flakes to live ghost shrimp to earthworms and frozen foods. grow from an 1inch and a half to almost a foot in like 5-6 months so there growth rate is very rapid and i herd they eat lengthy fish that are still slender so im unsure of this combo.
