Starting a 40 gallon long..
Would 1 T8 bulb be sufficient for a low to moderate plants? I know usually you would want 2 tubes over a 4ft aquarium, but with a 40 long being more shallow was wondering if 1 would do.
A single tube T5 with a 48-inch HO tube would open up options more, but shouldn't bee too much with a good cover of floating plants. Finding single-tube T5 fixtures is not easy.
