Check out my New 55 Gal African Cichlid Tank
Painted the back of my old 55 Gal tank Black, and finally found the rocks I was looking for to set it up.
Finally got some fish 2 weeks ago and the fish have settled in nicely. 4 yellow labs, 3 Red Zebras (1 orange, 2 cream color) and 2 Saulosi.
Pics of the tank set up can be found here. http://www.tropicalfishkeeping.com/m...lid-tank-5031/
and here is a video of the fish a day after they came home:
here is a video of the Red Zebra digging out a cave. he did most of the work during the day while I was gone apparently.
Funny how they claim their own space!! Mine!! Mine!!
Just a suggestion... if you happen to be using a smart phone for video taking... turn it horizontal and upload that way... you won't get the vertical video. It should post in wide format.
Really nice tank by the way!!! Thanks for sharing.
Yea I noticed that I should have done it sideways as well once I saw how it uploaded! Thanks for the tip:)
Even though the larger red/albino Zebra made the pit/cave, all the fish use the cave, i havent seen them yet establish territories...they seem to have a pecking order of who moves out of who's way but for the most part they are all civil and will sort of school up and swim around together....
