one of my friends molly's

has 2 lump's near its tail with a reddish hue to them looks like it's on the inside as daft as it sounds

i have googled and the only suspect i could find was anchor worms but i cant see any worms

the molly's are yellow
plz help

A photo would be most helpful - I know it is your friend's fish, but can you ask her to snap one and forward it to you so that you can post it?

ive been working on it but think she is on the phone keep getting ingaged tone lol will get back to you soon as i can but from what she has said it will be next to impossible to get one that is actually visible the lump visible i mean

finally here is a vid of the said fish see what you all think im guessing a bacterial infection

Can't help. But the fish sure looks active.

If you had someone who has a saltwater tank I would try acclimating it to saltwater and see if the red spots start shrinking.


But that is not the type of problem I had with some mollies in FW when I found aquarium salt to be extremely effective.

first thing i did was add some sea salt lol

and it is fading by the look of it will have to wait for my next visit to see if it has gone yet though
