cloudy glass cat
 

i got 2 glass cats from the LFS to add to my original 2 and one from LFS is cloudy with a slight yellow tint on his head is there anything wrong or are they born like this the fish looks other wise 100% ok and eats he/she shows no signs of stress either

also does anyone know if they are fine with some salt in the water

Not a good sign with the cloudy skin. . . I'm not an expert on illnesses, but it could be a bacterial infection of some sort. Catfish don't do well with salt in the water, and glass cats are scaleless, I believe - so a double no on that one - sorry.

i always run some salt in my tank so do the LFS as so do so many of them so some could say running fully fresh water would be worse than keeping some salt in there

it seems to be clearing up over time maybe something was stressing him in the shop
i really do need to have a good look at fish once in the bag so i no i get the good ones lol

yeah, shocking them by removing ALL salt from the system instantly wouldn't be so good, either. . . but I'd personally want to wean them off of it. In any case, I'm really glad to hear he's doing better and whatever it was is healing up :)
