Mollies and Platies

I'd love some information on caring for Mollies and platies in a 75 gallon. I'm reading the profiles. The main thing I want to know, do they breed easily? I don't want to be overrun with babies.

Here's how my 75 gallon looks now: It will slowly be getting planted.

They breed pretty easily, I breed them, even when I'm not trying the breed

What do you do with the fry you cannot keep?

If you leave them in the tank, the grownups like a nice snack. ALso if you raise them to adulthood most petstores will buy them from you for a petstore gift card or something. Also, bettas really like fry

I would like to add, make sure you keep a good male to female ratio, 4 females to one male at the least. They will stick you with a bunch of males at PetSmart. find out here how to sex them. It's easy

Where's "here"?

So I'm thinking a school of 6 or 9. Would 2 males in 6 and 3 males in 9 be fine?

that'd probably work.

Coolio and they'll love the 2 or 4 angels as some of their tank mates xD

If you read my post "babies, babies and more babies" you will see that red platies breed VERY easy and ALOT!

In fact I just had another platy give birth last night! Way more babies than I know what to do with. Luckily my LFS will take them for a store credit.

Have fun.
