Well what size tank do you have them in? How many angels again? You'll need a grow out tank probably.

and don't get upset if the angels eat this first batch. They seem to do that a lot, especially the first time. :)

5 Congo tetra

There is always the potential that the tetras will try and eat the eggs, possibly even the catfish. Even if they don't, they may make the pair of angels nervous, and cause them to eat the eggs. I know my pair just eats every spawn so far (but I don't mind since I don't plan on keeping a spawn at this point). I think for mine its a combination of the room being dark at night, and the pleco going after it (somehow mine just KNOWS when the angels are spawning, and hides right near where they spawn).

I think one of the more successful ways to breed angels is if they are not the only fish in the tank, is to remove the eggs, and hatch separately. You'll need something for them to spawn on though, like a slate, which you can remove easily. i know Tolak is a user on this website who breeds angels. He removes spawns from the pairs, hatches them in smaller tanks, and i believe he grows them out in larger tanks. you could probably pm him if you have a question.

I guess if you're willing though, you could rehome all the other fish in that tank and let the angels parent raise.

Not until they're about 2-3 weeks old, sometimes you have to play games to get them to hit on it. Skip a feeding, add a bit of finely crushed flake (coffee grinders work awesome for this!) wait 10 minutes then add some bbs. By the time they're 4-5 weeks old you can have them on straight flake, you'll have better heath & growth with bbs as well as other foods.
