One week's plant growth

Hello everyone! Well after making a thousand newbie mistakes and throwing a bit of money away I think I might be able to make my second tank take rather quickly.Examples of throwing money away - buying non aquatic plants from both Petco and Petsmart. And watching them melt away in the tank. Buying high powered lights in the hope that those plants would grow and well - grow algae. :?

Now - well judge for yourselves- this tank was planted with aquatics and had CO2 injecyed on the 28 of January 2008.

Note - for example - the specific growth of the giant vals in the center... I hope I do not bore you guys. I love aquariums and life and it's forms and well - it is quite refreshing to see plants grow!!! --especially in my aquarium!!!

Thank you for your time. :thankyou:

Thank you my good fellows!

Well - I have attempted some aqua-scaping and have trimmed the water wisteria in hopes that the stable water temperature at 79 degrees F will allow for more lacy leaf growth and have replanted the trimmings. Good god! The wisteria grows some serious roots!

I opened up the 14" tall rock and ringed it with the cambia ( it is tall and appears to be a green cloud over the mountain ) and with the wisteria to give the aquarium more depth.

The giant vals have 8 leaves that have reached the surface and I moved the filtration and the CO2 to the center of the tank behind the vals for more balanced water motion. The cambia behind the driftwood is going to grow and provide a cloud cover over the water as well!

The Ludwig is blooming beautifully and is trimmed in areas and replanted as well -- as being able to flower and grow monstrously to the top of the tank. I will provide more pictures next week of the progress.

I also moved some of the rock to give a semi-circle sweep from the front of the tank to the back center ( to develope depth ) more closely to the driftwood and have moved the petrified wood in front to the right of the large stone (mountain ). I am not sure what to think of this work - I am more interested in the growth of the wisteria and ludwig and their leaf formation!

Thank you for the compliments! I personally am astounded at the change and fish are so darn happy!

I wish I could get my tank to look that good :( The only thing that stays green in my tank is the water lol.
