Welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping forum.
I moved your post out of the old thread and started a new thread. While the general topic of wood is similar, your issue is different from the former so it is best to start a new thread. And more will now see it too.:-)
I am thinking that ash is probably safe as far as the wood itself, if it is thoroughly dry/dead and all bark removed. But this is just a guess.
Thanks byron i dont know how to start a new thread :-( wanna tell me? Lol
Here you go. When you have the list of threads in the relevant sectio of the forum, at the top left there is a blue button "New Thread" that you click to start a thread.
While you are in an existing thread, the blue button "Add New Post" will post in that thread.
