My 29 gallon- New Valhalla
kind of a side view
front view (looks kinda crappy)
my 29 gallon, it now has my 8 zebra danios (gold variety and normal) along with my Elegant cory. tommorow iam adding my J.D. then i will be adding my pleco when his fins heal up alittle more, probably another few days and he'll be good as new :D
i know it doesnt have a background, the one i painted on a piece of plywood will not stay put, as there is only about an 1/8th of an inch of space. so i am going to make another one. (not buying one since there expensive and none really look that great to me)
i also need to get some more plants, i'd like to get some real ones, but iam afraid of either my pleco or my J.D. eating em. ive gone with fake plants for a while, especially the glo plants.
but whats a good real plant that doesnt need c02 or fertilizer, plus low to mid lighting conditions?
leave some comments please.
i think it would be a good idea to get a background on there. you should deffinately add some more plants, especially tall ones to fill in the space a bit. all of your decor is small and low to the ground. :? i think you could improve the tank a lot by adding some larger objects. i'm not a plant person (all mine are fake :( ) so i cant help you with picking out a live plant. i really like the color of your gravel.... 8) it so cool. i dont know how well live plants will do in that substrate but you might want to take plant advice from someone else. keep posting pics as you chnge things and add fish! :D
yea as far as the background goes, i was thinking about taking some black poster board or something and cutting it to fit and taping or using some kind of removable glue to hold it on.
as soon as i get some cash in my pocket, iam buying some driftwood and add some more slate work into it. the fake plants i have in now (the pics i posted were from the other day) are from my 10 gallon, so i couldnt really have large plants for that.
the gravel was a mix of this i guess you could say "lake green" and black. everyone that has seen it loves it, tho my mom wanted me to get black and purple (i hate the color purple personally  ).
i'll try to post some pictures tomorrow evening after laundry and grocery shopping.
i think it looks better with the "green" and black than it would with the purple and black. keep the pics coming!
cant wait to see more! :D
i added a piece of black poster board (to the outside of course) and an old london bridge decoration i had in my 10 gallon tank. believe it or not it barely fit in a 10, barely any space for my pleco to hide or anything.
oh my god! it looks A LOT better already.
The backing has made a huge difference to the appearance of the tank. Looking much better!
Here's a suggestion - why not add some talls plants to the back for the tank - the fish would appreciate it and it would give them more of a feeling of security when swimming around the open space.
soon i will be getting some more plants, probably some tall "glow" plants, there relatively inexpensive where i normally shop for decor.
i will post some more pics when i get the plants.
