30 Gallon Tank Ideas

I moved over my African Cichlids to a 55 gallon.. So I have the 30 gallon that's empty (currently cycling).. I want to add fish to it not sell it or take it down.. But I just want one type of fish in it.. Like I was thinking just Gouramis, or maybe Ranbow Fish?

Any advice or ideas???

Thanks!!!!!!

Angel fish would not normally work in a 30 gal tank. The only way they would is if the two are a proven, mated pair.

If you're looking for gourami, a trio of honey gourami or dwarf gourami would be best (although honies are better than dwarfs because dwarfs have disease problems). Something like sparkling gourami could work if you have soft, acidic water or are willing to dilute your water with RO water.

There are many types of rainbow fish and I'm not familiar with them all, so some could work. Killifish are also another option, and I know a few species could kept in a tank of that size. Since we don't have a large collection of rainbowfish in our profiles you can check some out here: Search results - rainbowfish Same goes with killifish here: Search results - killifish
