2 hours searching !#$#@%!!! Please help ID this fish Hi All I am trying to find the type of tetra I have in my tank. I'm a newby and forgot to ask the shop when I got them a few weeks ago. I have searched for 2 hours on Google to ID it but cannot I am pretty sure it is a tetra of some sort. it is translucent, has a blue green neon strip down the side, and black markings on the leading edge of it's dorsal and anal fins. attached is a vid of the fish. the colourings aren't that great, but it is better than a blury pic. thanks in advance shane |
Does it look like this: http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/fish/jellybeantetra.php |
thanks for that. it kind of looks similar. except the black fin tips that are in the photo continue along the leading edges of my fish's fins. and mine are not as green. that could just be the light. here is a pic that actually worked. there is a couple of guppies mixed up in it. http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/8351/p2290522sb4.jpg you can really see the black on the fins in this pic. oh and the strip is a blue green colour. |
Glo-Lite Tetra? |
Don't think it is it is too red. I just rang the fs that I bought them from and he said that it is a Blue-eyed Tetra. Problem is is that I cannot find any pics on the net to confirm it. |
no wonder you can't find it, it is a rainbowfish not a tetra. I'm pretty certain you have young Pseudomugil signifer but it is for certain a Pseddomugil Sp. http://members.optushome.com.au/chelmon/Signifer.htm |
