Gourami 'technically' don't get pregnant, they just get full of eggs. Do you have a male around?

My two female pearl gourami are usually full off eggs since I have a male in the tank, however, yours is quite a bit rounder than mine get.

I'm not an expert on this by any means, just comparing our fish. :)
Is there anything different about the personality, is she still swimming and eating well?

Yes I was told on a post a few months ago that the female just carries eggs. She has been this big for about 4 months. Not sure if I have a male in the tank as I can never tell the difference.

I've had this one and 4 others for quite some time. I just moved the one in the pic and 2 others into my 46 gal tank, the tank I moved her from was a 25 very (fake) planted tank, so since I have now moved her I can get a really good look at her.

Thank you for responding.

I believe that she is carrying eggs, however you need a male to fertilize the eggs in order to have the babies, and then raising the babies is another whole world.

So I've heard, I have no intention of intentionally having baby fry. I do have 2 other gourami's in this tank with her, so I'm not sure if they're male.

Can't get a good pic of the other ones. I'll keep trying though.

Thanks

Yeah, most of the time my females stay fat with eggs, I've never seen a spawn though, even though every once in awhile she gets slimmer. My younger female has finally gotten old enough to start carrying eggs, and now she's gotten quite chubby too. I wouldn't worry about it much, usually if there is a spawn the eggs get eaten. My only concern would be if there is a male, if he gets aggressive over the eggs, as they are very protective. Are there any other fish in the tank?

Yes, a huge Pleco, 7 baby fry red plates, 2 huge danio zebras and the other 2 gourami's.
