20 gallon fish recommendations?
Hi everyone...to get a little background on "my story" check here http://www.tropicalfishkeeping.com/f...y-need-123760/ ... I am trying to narrow down some fish that we could get...looking for some colorful and preferably easy to maintain one. My hubby loves the idea of angel fish but they aren't a good fit for a tank our size.
Starter *during cycling* fish recommendations would be great, as well as additions for later on. Many thanks!
for a starter fish you could do a school of long finned danios. They are supposed to be quite hardy and I think they are kinda exotic looking. If you have sand you could throw in a bunch of kuhli loaches later for cleanup. They are really super fun. If you want something exotic you could try puffers (need sandy substrate too!). I think dwarf puffers are the only fw ones though, and green spotted are brackish. They might not fit your needs though. They're only an inch big, and are sensitive, and need live food, and don't get along with any other fish, except maybe otos and shrimp. just thought i'd throw it out there anyway.
I couldn't find your other post. do you have sand and nice warm water (74-80F)? If you do, this opens up so many options!
This is my other post... we have nothing right now...except the tank. Just click on it.
