Aquaclear 50 dimensions anyone?
I don't have the filter yet but I am filling the tank. How much clearance do I need to allow behind the tank for the AC50 filter assembly? I can't find dimensions anywhere and our office unit is a 30.
I don't mind leaving a little extra, just in case, but I don't want to leave too much either.
I just installed mine last night and had to move the tank(Thank god it wasn't full yet). You will need about 3 inches behind the tank.
Thanks, I've got about 3.5 as is.
buy a canister and leave none :-)
I know, I know... Not this time though:roll:
Thats ok, there will be PLENTY more chances. once you have one jeff your ruined. You'll have to have another. And then hits Multi tank Syndrome. :)
I dunno, I have Aquaclears and like them very much and don't feel the need for a canister. Money is better spent on fish, water conditioner, treatments for common ailments, another heater for redundancy, backup plan(s) for a power failure...
Also, it is much easier to change the media in an aquaclear, vs a canister.
