Banana Plant Runners?

To the best of my knowledge, runners do not occur on Nymphoides aquatica [so-called Banana plant]. Roots will emerge and from down into the substrate (the "banana"-like tubers should not be buried but set in the top of the substrate), and leaves and sometimes an inflorescence (flower stalk) will grow up to the surface. The beginnings of any of these may be what you see.

Byron.

Proabaly the first one. They look so cool, like the plant is floating, but the roots tether them down. Espicially from a distance

My banana plant has made a large stem up to the top and produced a sorta colored leaf thingy. The Leafs on it are nice and big bright green. I am really glad I got it.
