Bacopa compacta

I bought one of these today, it's a stemmed plant, all I know about it, and can t really find much out either it seems. Basically this was the first thing I let my "not involved with the tank" Mrs pick out.

Anyone got anything on this little plant? I'll throw up a pic as soon as I'm done cleaning it.

All stem plants are pretty much the same in care requirements. Some need more light than others, but still. You just plant them in the substrate, and trim them when they get too large by cutting off the bottom and replanting the tops.

A liquid fertilizer like Flourish Comprehensive will be needed for fast growth.

I have flourish comprehensive :-)

And I know, your right, was hoping someone had like a few so I could gauge the average size etc for where to plant it etc.

Stem plants pretty much never stop growing, which is why I mentioned trimming.

They'll grow straight up, not out, but if you want a 'bush' affect you can just trim off the tops and leave the bottoms. At the point where it was cut, two shoots will emerge.

Thanks. At the moment iv done this....
I'm actually quite tempted to get another now and spread it through the "arms" of my wood.
(Don't ask about the moss ball it keeps the Mrs happy. She has simple delights. Haha)
