Aquarium design. Tips? Hi, I have a 20 gallon tank that I would like to completely redo Right now, all it has in it are some granite rocks and pea gravel. I have a pretty high budget (thanks to selling some of my other tanks) and would like to make my tank spectacular. I am going to stock it with one male betta and 6 cory cats. I am also going to get lots of fake plants because I am not very good at keeping live plants and the tank is overrun with snails (I will have to get soft plants that won't rip the betta's tail) I was also thinking of some mild aeration or a bubble wall. What do you think? I would love some tips :) Here is a picture of what the tank once looked like: http://i1237.photobucket.com/albums/...8-12213110.jpg |
Yip seems ok as corys like to be kept in a school of 6 or more, they shouldn't bother the Betta, if not go for oto's, they are about 1.5" A chunk of wood they like hiding under a bit of wood, otherwise be creative, at night time my daughters Betta hides in a cave, maybe another idea. yip a bit of aereation as you do not have live plants, but not too much water movement, the Betta will get blown around and soon tire by swimming against a current. Put up a pic when finished Ray |
Thanks, sounds good |
