Repair Rena XP4 Canister

Hello,

I just bought a Rena XP4 but it came with the canister cracked. I was fully refunded, but now I want to know if the canister is repairable. The corner has a good crack completely through... any ideas?

Could try some silicone but I don't think it would be strong enough. I'd go with some JB weld and see if that does the trick. Sand the plastic around the crack to get a stronger bond, then sand the JB weld around the top of the canister were it makes the seal with the O-ring. Really depends on the size of the crack :-?.

Other then that they are awesome filters. My XP3 has been running for 7 years now.

Edit: JB also makes somthing called waterweld which you may wanna try. But take note any of their products are going to be very difficult to get off if they do not work.
